Tonight’s boys’ basketball game between Pleasant Hill and Calhoun-Brussels at the North Greene Spartan Classic has been called off. Pleasant Hill High School is moving to full distance learning from now due to an outbreak of COVID-19 and influenza A.

Pleasant Hill Superintendent Ron Edwards said a third of students at Pleasant Hill High School were sick Wednesday. The school will continue distance learning until December 17, when the school will leave for the Christmas holidays. Students must return to class on January 4. After December 17, school officials hope that the student-athletes can resume training and competition.

Wednesday’s cancellation will give Calhoun-Brussels a 2-0 forfeit victory in the tournament.

Greenfield-Northwestern will play Western at 6:30 p.m. tonight as scheduled at North Greene West Gym. The JV match between the two schools will be played in the West Gym after the college competition.
